Rummy App Permissions: What to Allow or Deny
Permission decisions should follow the feature you are using, not the urgency of an install banner.
Review common Android permissions for Rummy apps and recognise when contacts, SMS, calls, storage or accessibility requests need scrutiny.
Network and notifications
Online multiplayer needs network access. Notifications may be optional; disable them if reminders become intrusive.
Photos, media and storage
A screenshot or profile-image feature may request limited media access. Modern Android versions can often grant selected-item access instead of the whole library.
SMS, calls and contacts
A game should clearly explain why any of these are needed. OTP autofill does not automatically justify broad or continuous SMS access.
Accessibility and screen control
These are powerful capabilities. Do not grant them to solve a login, bonus or withdrawal issue unless the purpose is independently clear and trusted.
Audit after use
Open Android app settings, remove permissions the feature no longer needs and uninstall products whose core function fails after reasonable denials.
Questions to resolve
Does denying a permission break the app?
A related feature may stop, but the app should explain the relationship.
Is OTP autofill a reason for SMS access?
It can be a stated feature, but prefer narrower system-supported methods and review the scope.
